Timberline, in the order you actually need it
The historic lodge is the image. Wy'East Day Lodge is the address a lesson student needs. Timberline's school page supplies the sequence that connects a destination picture to a real first morning.
First: the school desk
Check in on the first floor of Wy'East. This comes before the rental stage in the published instructions. A newcomer need not infer the process from the size of the lodge or the location of a lift.
Then: equipment, then the outdoor meeting
Boots and skis are tasks of their own. Complete the rental fitting and follow the actual booking to the outside lesson start. The guide's virtue is its order: it tells you which thing to do next.
Transport has another sequence. Mt. Hood Express connects Sandy, Government Camp and Timberline; Portland airport access is a separate leg. Check the operating dates, capacity and final return, then place the accommodation against a confirmed stop.
There is a pleasing difference between planning a ski holiday and planning a ski morning. One can begin with architecture and a mountain setting. The other benefits from knowing which desk comes first. At Timberline, both kinds of information have a place, provided they are not asked to do each other's job.
